If you are student or instructor who is looking for interactive learning website, “Quia” is the best online learning website that I have found! Quia is pronounced as key-ah and stands for Quintessential Instructional Archive. Interestingly, Quia provide many tools for any subject and grade. And luckily, for my purpose of teaching “History”, Quia provide it. Learning “History” in Quia is very interesting and easy going. In “Shared Activities” there are 572 activities related to history that you can choose! The activities are varies such as java games (flashcards, matching, concentration, and word search), hangman, challenge board, scavenger hunt, quiz and more. Different activities cater different history’s topic. Among the topic of history in Quia’s shared activities are more to American’s history. However, Malaysian students still can benefit Quia because in Quia, we are given templates for creating 16 types of online activities using our own content. So, the instructor can adapt it on Malaysian history context. We should make use of this website because it provides different ways of learning history and also other subjects that available. I am believed that students will get excited to learn history through Quia rather than just reading the textbook. Through Quia, we will play and learn history at the same time.
